What Are Your Dreams Trying to Tell You?

Dreams… We all have them. On average, about 3-10 of them per night. Sometimes we remember them, but sometimes we are rudely awakened by our adult responsibilities and forget them the second we open our eyes.

But have you ever noticed how sometimes the dreams we don’t fully remember can still stick with us for the rest of the day?

The dream you had the night before might leave you feeling heartbroken, hopeful, thinking about someone, or motivated to finally make that change happen.

We might brush it off and think of our dreams as weird or coincidental, but the one thing we don’t typically do is take the time to sit with them and ask what our subconscious is trying to tell us.

When we take the time to analyze the way our dreams make us feel, we learn new things about ourselves and become able to receive the guidance we need to heal or grow.

Let’s take a look at flying dreams...

As exciting as it sounds to have a dream where we're flying through the air trouble-free, taking in all the sights, and landing wherever we please- unfortunately that's not typically how flying dreams go down.

Ever since I can remember, my flying dreams have always been a struggle. I find myself flapping my arms with all my strength and struggling to stay in flight and climb higher. For me, these dreams come at a time where I am emotionally carrying a heavy burden and feeling a loss of control in my waking life.

Dreams of flying (non mechanically) are one of most common dreams and can have many different interpretations depending on the dreamer. Flying dreams and the ability to control your flight have a lot to say about your personal sense of power.

Flying with Ease

If you are flying with ease and enjoying the sights, it suggests that you are on top of a situation in waking life. It could also mean that you have gained a different perspective on a situation and are seeing things less objectively.

Encountering Obstacles

If you are encountering obstacles on your course, this can represent people or situations that are in your way or dragging you down in waking life.

Struggling in Flight

If you are struggling in flight, that can represent a lack of control in your own circumstances.

Fear of Heights

If you are feeling afraid of heights while in flight, this can signify a fear of challenges or success.

Flying Low

If you are flying low to the ground can indicate sickness and unease from which you can recover.

Flying Over Muddy Water

If you are flying over murky or muddy water, this suggests keeping your personal affairs private as the wrong people are watching you.

Falling While Flying

To fall while flying suggests downfall in your life. If you wake yourself upon landing, this shows that you will be successful in recovery.

What are your dreams trying to tell you? How do they make you feel? I’d love to hear about them in the comments below!
