Break the Food Loop
The pizza was never just pizza.
After a whole day of saying yes, working extra hours, and doing what everyone else needed, I would tell myself: “I earned this.” Then I would order pizza and finally sit down. For a little while, nobody needed anything from me.
If you know that feeling, this is for you.
Break the Food Loop is a downloadable guide and workbook to help you catch the moment you reach for food to change how you feel, figure out what you actually need, and make a choice that feels like yours.
Maybe your version looks like this
You are on the couch after another long day. You are already planning the treat that will make it feel worth it. Or it is Friday night and you want something fun, romantic, or just for you, but you end up ordering food and scrolling instead. By Sunday you are saying you will start again on Monday.
I know how loud that loop gets. I lived inside it.
What is inside
The CHOOSE pause: a five-step check-in for the moment the urge hits.
A phone-friendly card: questions you can pull up before autopilot takes over.
The pattern map: see what happens before the food, including the days you give too much of yourself.
A cravings map: explore chocolate, salty snacks, pizza, sweets, comfort foods, and more with reflection prompts, satisfying food options, and things you can do for the need underneath.
The “I earned this” audit: notice where you are giving away your time and looking to food for the only reward you allow yourself.
A Friday-night exercise: name what you really wanted from the night and make room for it in your life.
Your real menu: find ways to meet needs like rest, connection, freedom, and fun.
The next-morning reset: learn from one night without turning it into a week.
Seven days of reps: short prompts to practise awareness and choice.
No meal plan. No food rules. No promise that you will lose a certain amount of weight. The cravings map gives you questions, not fixed meanings. Chocolate does not always mean romance, and a salty craving does not diagnose an emotion. This is the inner work that helped me change my relationship with food while I was changing my life.
Why I made this
I got sober first. Then I started seeing the other ways I tried to escape what I did not want to feel. Food could become the reward for a day of people pleasing. It could stand in for connection or a night out dancing.
I lost over 100 pounds, but I did not become someone who never had a hard night. One Friday, long after that change, I wanted to go dancing and needed to stay home. We ordered pizza and watched a movie. I ate while wishing I was somewhere else, and I felt miserable afterward.
The next morning, I learned from it and went on with my life. That ability to come back is part of the method too.
Now I speak on stages and walk into rooms without wanting to hide. I cannot promise you my story. I can show you the practice I used to stop waiting for a different life and start choosing one.
